Our schools are family oriented and include Beulaville Elementary, with pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, and East Duplin High School, with grades 9-12. Both are academically accredited. A special program for the academically gifted children is available at both schools.
There are 12 major colleges and universities within a 1 1/2 hour drive offering undergraduate and post-graduate degree programs. Many in the community commute daily to East Carolina University, located in Greenville, NC; and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. James Sprunt Community College, located in nearby Kenansville, offers off-campus adult education programs, and Associates Degree programs in addition to technical traning classes, both on and off campus.
Day care facilities, pre-school, and after-school programs are also available in the community. The town's Phillip Leff Memorial Library, a branch of the Duplin County Library System, provides books, videos, children's programs, and a conference room.
